INTERNET
Check your connections
- Verify that your equipment is plugged into a functional wall outlet.
- Check that your smart device is connected to your Wireless Router. If it is not, try to re-connect to your wireless network.
- Note: We strongly suggest using a surge protector to help protect your equipment from sudden power surges that could cause damage.
Power Cycle Your Equipment
- Unplug your Wireless Router from the wall outlet for 15-20 seconds and plug it back in.
- Note: Do not hold in the manual reset button to perform this action.
Power Cycle Your Smart Device
- If possible, unplug your smart device from the wall outlet for 15-20 seconds and plug it back in. On a device such as a tv, simply pressing the power button on the remote does not power cycle the device.
- If using a smartphone, you may perform a reboot.
- Note: If you are experiencing excessive buffering, power cycling the device will often resolve the issue.
- After trouble-shooting your service, you can call our Tech-Support line at (888) 298-2149; they will verify that you have gone through the troubleshooting steps and then try to help you as much as they can. If further assistance is needed, they will escalate a trouble ticket to our LigTel crew, and we’ll get the problem solved for you as soon as possible.

TELEPHONE (NOT VOIP)
No Dial Tone
- If your telephone does not have dial tone when you pick up the handset, check other phones in the house, and make sure they are turned off (for cordless phones) or seated securely on the cradle.
- Try another phone, if you have one, to see if you get dial tone on that phone.
- Plug the phone into a different phone jack in the house to see if you get dial tone.
- If all these steps fail to solve the problem, please contact our service representatives directly at 894-7161 and let them know so a trouble ticket can be entered and a tech dispatched.
Our service representatives are in the office from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. If you’re experiencing issues on a weekend, or after hours, you may contact our 24/7 Tech Support Staff at 888-298-2149 for help.
We recommend using our online mail interface.
Email Client Settings (for use with Outlook, Thunderbird, Live Mail, MacMail)
Incoming Server (IMAP) Settings:
- Server: mail.ligtel.com
- SSL: Required
- Port: 993
- Username: entire email address (including @ligtel.com)
- Password: LigTel email password (if you don’t know it contact us)
Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings:
- Server: smtp.ligtel.com
- SSL: Required
- Port: 465
- Requires Username & Password Authentication (Use same as Incoming Server)
Additional steps to try:
- If you can still get to other webpages, make sure you have the correct username and password entered.
- If you use a client (Outlook, Apple Mail, Live Mail, Thunderbird), try logging in to the online interface.
- If you cannot log in to the online interface, check your username and password by calling our office.
- If you cannot view other webpages, there is a browser or connection problem to be dealt with.
- Try disabling any firewall or anti-virus protection software on your computer.
- Try re-starting your computer if the above options do not solve the problem.

How do I access my CPanel for my Webhosting Account?
Your CPanel can be accessed by opening yourwebdomain.com/cpanel in your favorite browser.
Example: cottagecharm.com/cpanel or oakwoodworks.com/cpanel
You will need the Username and Password for your hosting account. If you do not have the username and password for your hosting account, please contact our office at (260) 894-7161, or you can stop in to see us at 414 South Cavin Street, Ligonier.
