Bark is not designed to give parents access to every text or conversation.
Think of it as a smoke detector for your child’s digital life. Most of the time, it stays quiet. When Bark detects something that may need attention, it sends an alert with information that can help you decide how to respond.
The goal is not to catch kids doing something wrong. It is to make sure they do not have to handle a difficult situation alone.
Bark’s current support information says parents do not receive access to every message. Instead, alerts can include the flagged content and recommended next steps.

After you sign up and schedule your install with LigTel:
- You’ll receive an email from Bark with setup instructions.
- Bark will guide you through downloading the app, creating your parent account, and linking your child’s devices.

Bark uses advanced machine learning and statistical analysis techniques to recognize potential problems. Simple keyword searches are not enough to detect the majority of issues, which is why our parental control app uses contextual analysis and natural language processing to determine when something serious might be happening.

1. Giveaway Period
The Giveaway begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on August 1, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on September 30, 2026, referred to as the “Giveaway Period.”
The Sponsor’s records will serve as the official timekeeping method for the Giveaway.
2. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open to legal residents of Indiana who:
- Are at least 18 years old at the time of entry;
- Reside at a residential address within LigTel’s service area; and
- Meet all requirements described in these Official Rules.
Business accounts and commercial addresses are not eligible. LigTel employees and members of their immediate families or households are also not eligible.
For these rules, a “household” includes everyone residing at the same residential address.
3. How to Enter
Eligible individuals may receive one entry through one of the following methods:
- Have active Bark or Connected Home service as of August 1, 2026.
- Add Bark during the Giveaway Period.
- Upgrade to Connected Home during the Giveaway Period.
- Complete the free online entry form at https://www.ligtel.com/bark-back-to-school-giveaway/ by September 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Existing qualifying customers will be entered automatically.
New Bark or Connected Home orders must be accepted by LigTel during the Giveaway Period. Canceled, fraudulent or incomplete orders are not eligible.
A free entry provides the same chance of winning as any other entry method.
Entry Limit
Limit one entry per household, regardless of entry method.
Adding multiple services or submitting more than one entry will not increase the household’s chances of winning. Duplicate, incomplete, fraudulent or otherwise invalid entries may be removed.
Prizes
Three winners will each receive one $100 Visa gift card.
The total value of all prizes is $300. Gift cards are subject to the card issuer’s terms and conditions. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash, except at LigTel’s discretion.
Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes or expenses associated with accepting a prize.
Winner Selection
LigTel will review entries and remove duplicates or ineligible entries on October 1, 2026.
Three potential winners will be selected at random on or about October 2, 2026, from all eligible entries received. The drawing will use a numbered entry list and a random-number selection process witnessed by at least two LigTel employees.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Alternate winners may also be selected.
Winner Notification
Potential winners will be contacted by phone or email and must respond within five calendar days.
LigTel may require proof of age, residency, address or eligibility. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond, is ineligible or declines the prize, an alternate winner may be selected.
A potential winner is not confirmed until LigTel verifies eligibility. Winners will never be required to pay a fee to receive a prize.
Confirmed winners may be required to pick up their prize at LigTel’s office and present valid identification.
Prize Claim and Pickup
Confirmed winners must claim and pick up their prize at LigTel’s office by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 30, 2026, unless LigTel approves another delivery arrangement. Winners must present valid identification. If a winner does not claim the prize by the deadline, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
Privacy and Publicity
Information collected will be used to administer the Giveaway, verify eligibility, remove duplicate entries, contact winners and deliver prizes.
Entering the Giveaway does not automatically enroll someone in marketing communications. Any marketing consent must be provided separately.
Except where prohibited, LigTel may announce a winner’s first name, last initial and city. Separate permission will be requested before using a winner’s full name, photograph or testimonial.
General Conditions
By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules and LigTel’s decisions. LigTel may disqualify invalid entries or anyone who interferes with the Giveaway.
LigTel may modify, suspend or cancel the Giveaway if circumstances outside its control affect its operation. LigTel is not responsible for technical errors, lost entries or undelivered communications.
By participating, entrants release LigTel and its affiliates from claims related to the Giveaway or use of a prize, except where prohibited by law.
