HOW TO FIND ANYTHING WITH CTRL + F

BY OLIVIA WELLS, LIGTEL MARKETER

Have you ever been scrolling through a long webpage or document, trying to find just one word or sentence? It can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack—especially if you’re not sure where to look.

Here’s a simple keyboard shortcut that can save you so much time:
Press the Control key and the letter F at the same time (that’s Ctrl + F).
If you’re using a Mac, it’s Command + F.

When you do this, a small search box will pop up—usually at the top or bottom of your screen. Just type the word you’re looking for, and it will highlight every time that word appears on the page. It’s quick, easy, and works in most internet browsers, documents, and PDFs.

This tip is perfect for:

  • Searching through long articles
  • Looking up specific info in a document
  • Finding names, dates, or keywords fast

It’s one of those little tricks that, once you learn it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

✨ Give it a try and see how much time you save!
