Heartland Innovations, Inc. Announces Board Appointments

Heartland Innovations, Inc. that parent company of Ligonier Telephone Company, Inc. and LigTel Communications, Inc. recently appointed two new members to the Board of Directors, Mr. Michael Troup, General Manager of Ligonier Telephone Company and LigTel Communications, and Mr. Kelly Dyer former President & CEO of Indiana Fiber Network.

Mr. Dyer brings 39 years of Industry experience to the company having served as General Manager of Daviess-Martin Rural Telephone Corporation, then President & CEO of Indiana Fiber Network. He currently serves as a part-time General Manager for Colorado Communications Transport, LLC.

Mr. Troup currently serves as General Manager of Ligonier Telephone Company and LigTel Communications and has been employed by the company in various roles for 20 years.

Dr. Daniel Schloss, President & Chairman of the Board stated “I am happy to announce that at our quarterly board meeting last week, the shareholders selected Mike Troup and Kelly Dyer to join the company’s board of directors. Mike has demonstrated that he is committed to improving our company, from marketing through NetOps to now general manager, he has been one of the leaders of this company for nearly 20 years. Kelly Dyer’s name is one that is familiar to many.  He worked extensively with my parents to found what would become IFN.  He turned an idea into a company of nearly 60 people and $70 million in assets before retiring in 2017.  Kelly has graciously agreed to join the board at a time when we need him most for his experience in business development and customer management as we continue to bury fiber at a record pace.”
